Transformational Sound Journeys

Sound by itself is wonderful. Sound plus intention is where the magic happens.

Transformational sound journeys go much deeper than your typical sound bath. In a transformational sound journey, we will delve deeply into your current state of wellness: physical, emotional, mental and spiritual, work to identify your goals and expectations, and use the power of sound to refine and align towards your intention.

No two sessions are alike, though they’ll share common elements noted below…

  • Connection

    We’ll build trust and safety between us, connecting on how you feel in the moment and what you hope for your personal sound journey.

  • Energy Assessment

    With my voice, I’ll check the sound energy in 5 different levels of your field to check for any imbalances.

  • Breathwork

    Our breath is a sound of its own. We will work on deep breathing techniques to slow our heart rate and brain waves. This sets the stage for creative visualization.

  • Visualization & Intention

    Based on your expectations and energy assessment, we will set a powerful intention using consiousness-shifting sound to open intuitive imagery.

  • Resonance

    Change begins with coming into union with yourself. Using unifying, heart-opening sounds, we’ll come into resonance, or peaceful acceptance of where you are in this moment - challenges and all.

  • Relax

    We’ll play gentle, melodic, or stabilizing sounds to relax the whole field, especially disturbances, blocks and patterns of stuck energy.

  • Release

    With the field relaxed, old patterns of energy are ready to be transmuted with dissonant, dynamic sounds. As blocks are released, the energy they were holding is released as well.

  • Transform Resistance

    Change can be hard. Sometimes we put up walls to stay with what is familiar consciously or unconsciously. Here, we’ll use introspective sounds to identify any remaining places you may be holding on to old ways of being.

  • Reform

    With blocks and resistances relaxed and transmuted, we are ready to structure the energy of your field in alignment with your intention. Using harmonizing intervals, tones and mantras, we’ll make sounds together to charge your intention and field with sound energy.

  • Grounding & Next Steps

    Using percussive, physically vitalizing sounds, we’ll ground the energy back into your body. After resting in silence, we’ll reflect on your journey and agree on sound self-care steps you can do at home between sessions to nourish your intention and well-being.

More about Transformational Sound Journeys

I recommend starting with a 90-minute session so we have plenty of time to discuss your wellbeing and expectations before the sounds begin, and plenty of time to discuss your experience and next steps afterwards. Clients often have much more to discuss than they initially might think. If 90-minutes is not possible for you, you may schedule a shorter duration.

Sound is cumulative — consider scheduling regular sessions at first. Once a week or once every two weeks for the first month or two is recommended. A solid guideline would be starting with 1, 90-minute session, followed by 3, 75-minute sessions over the course of 1 to 2 months. After this initial period, you can do 60-minute tune ups when you feel the need.

Sound self-care on your own or between sessions is encouraged! Even if you can’t commit to regular sessions, I’ll always send you home with an idea of how you can use sound to support your well-being. Your voice is a powerful instrument and free of charge (no, you don’t have to be musical or a good singer to enjoy the healing benefits of your voice).

Two rates are listed to account for virtual & in-person pricing.

  • 90 min | $110, in-person; $95, virtually

    This is the recommended starting place for new clients, or those who want a long or deep exploration through sound.

    This extended session provides additional time for us to get to know one another, discuss your intake forms, intention and expectations.

  • 75 min | $90, in-person; $75, virtually

    This is length is great for those who are fairly new to transformative sound or spiritual practice, or for those who want to relax with sound for more than an hour!

    This includes time at the beginning and end to connect on intention, core concepts and next steps with plenty of time for the healing sounds.

  • 60 min | $70, in-person; $55, virtually

    This session length is recommended for those who are familiar with sound healing and spiritual practice.

    We will continue work on your already established healing intention, and fine-tune next steps as needed.

    If you are a new client, but can’t commit to a longer session, we can still make this work. Just be aware that a portion of our session will be dedicate to talking. So there may be less time for sounds. Thank you!

Getting started

If you’re a first time client, following these steps will help create the best experience for you.

  • You may book your session online here (recommended).

    Or, if you need assisstance, you may contact me | laura@charmsoundhealing.com to help get you scheduled.

    Payment is due at the time of booking. This helps reduce no-shows, and will allow us both to focus on the sound healing process during your session rather than concerning ourselves with matters of payment afterwards.

    I do have a cancellation policy which you can review at the bottom of the appointments page.

  • Health History Form

    This form must be completed before your session.

    It includes important safety information that I must have before we continue. A link to this form will be included in your booking confirmation email, but you can find the link above.

  • For the best experience, please complete these forms before your session.

    You do not have to complete them all at once, but can do them individually as time allows.

    The insight you provide to your overall state of being will be valuable in understanding any patterns of energy and creating the focus of your session.

  • Overall well-being and focus

    Comfort needs and preferences (In-person attendees only)

    After reflecting on your overall wellness from the previous assessments you may be able to identify the focus you would like to prioritize for your session. If not, that’s okay too! We will explore during your session, but this can help us dive in in a more meaningful way.

    If you’re attending in-person, you may fill out the preferences form to let me know how you like your tea and water prepared, and other things you may need so I can make sure you’re comfortable and relaxed.

  • If you’ve filled out your forms and assessments before the session, I should have a pretty good picture of your whole state of well-being, needs and expectations.

    That way, when you arrive — whether in-person or online — we can spend most of our valuable time together on nourishing sounds!
